Colorful bedding plants - :

Colorful Bedding plants are brilliant for filling gaps between perennials, and for creating eye catching displays in window boxes, containers and hanging baskets with bright color combinations.

Before planting any seedlings in the soil it is important to prepare the soil by forking over lightly, adding fresh compost and bone meal. Water the seedlings the day before planting out. The best time of day to plant out is either early morning or early evening and water well. Water regularly until the plants are established, then water when needed.

Containers, window boxes and hanging baskets require a good quality potting soil with some slow-release fertiliser with water-retaining crystals added. Water these plants regularly.

You may decide on a specific Summer palette such as Hot and Fiery, Cool and Contemporary, Minimalist or a natural effect, the choice of plants is vast. and while most plants thrive in full sun, there are a few that will cope with semi or partial shade.
